Life in NYC šŸŽ

It's officially official - I've lived in New York for a month now. It doesn't feel that long, and yet I know the walk to the subway like the back of my hand; the guy at the corner store recognizes me and my roommate from the times we've gone in to buy ice cream and snacks; and I finally know which ways to turn my keys in the locks to get them open. Or I think I do.

Anyway, life is good, and only going to get better. Right now I'm working at an Anthropologie until I get a real job, and on the days I'm not working there I'll be coaching and tutoring with Figure Skating in Harlem. It's a great organization that helps girls who grow up in less than great areas to not only learn how to skate but help them grow into strong and intelligent young girls and women. So I'll be starting with them soon, aka once the outdoor rinks are up. Which should be next week or the one after.

The real person job is also in the works. I've had several interviews since being here, none which have worked out so far. But today I had another interview for a job and it seems promising. So I may be posting soon again if I do get it. Keep your eyes peeled.

And lastly, my apartment rocks. My roommate and I have spent quite a bit of time trying to make it the perfect cozy, homey place for us to live and I think we've succeeded. The neighborhood is good, the people are nice, and we have two really good friends who live down the street, so you can't beat that. Thats all for now. Enjoy some pictures of my apartment. Xoxo
